Job Scope

The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will possess the qualifications required to hold an Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) for the applicable aircraft types. The AME exercises ACA privileges and ensures that the company's fleet remains compliant, properly maintained, and safe for flight. This role includes the opportunity to travel with the aircraft as a Flight Engineer on rotational assignments throughout Canada.

Job Description

  • Perform work in accordance with the Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) and Transport Canada regulatory standards
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently as per established schedules and procedures
  • Perform aircraft certification and maintenance release in compliance with CARs and company requirements
  • Conduct maintenance both in the hangar and on the ramp, including line maintenance and AOG support
  • Liaise with Material Management to ensure timely availability of parts, tools, and equipment
  • Assist with ordering, shipping, receiving, and inventory management of aircraft parts
  • Complete all required computer entries and documentation
  • Monitor deferred defect lists and ensure effective corrective action is taken
  • Perform general visual inspections, detailed inspections, conformity checks, self-checks, and independent checks as required
  • Maintain clear communication and coordination with internal teams and external agencies
  • Identify issues that could impact production or airworthiness and escalate in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and airworthiness standards
  • Travel with the aircraft in the capacity of a Flight Engineer up to 50% of the time, supporting flight operations across Canada
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Vice President, Maintenance Operations

Requirements

  • Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License (M2)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working on transport category aircraft
  • Endorsement or experience on DASH 8 or CRJ aircraft required
  • Experience with maintenance control coordination or production management an asset
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programs and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a high tolerance for change
  • Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel
  • Flexible to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs; frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling
