This page contains our complete SMS Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and new 2025 regulations effective April 11, 2025.

SMS Terms of Service

Express Written Consent

By providing your phone number and agreeing to receive SMS communications from Great North Airlines, you explicitly consent to receive automated business communications at the mobile phone number you provided. You understand that:

  • Messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or autodialer
  • Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service
  • Standard message and data rates may apply
  • You may revoke consent at any time by multiple methods (see opt-out section below)

Service Terms

    Service Description: Direct business communications from Great North Airlines regarding flight operations, schedule updates, and essential service notifications
  2. 2.
    Message Frequency: Approximately 2-5 messages per week, sent as needed for operational business purposes only
  3. 3.
    Message Content: Operational communications only - no marketing or promotional content
  4. 4.
    Carrier Costs: Standard message and data rates apply as determined by your wireless carrier

Verbal Opt-In Script (For Staff Use)

When collecting consent verbally, Great North Airlines staff must inform customers using the following script:

"By providing your phone number, you consent to receive business communications from Great North Airlines regarding flight operations, schedule updates, and customer service. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can text HELP for support or STOP to unsubscribe. Phone numbers won't be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. You can view our privacy policy and terms at https://greatnorthairlines.com/sms-terms."

Opt-Out Rights (Updated 2025)

Multiple Ways to Opt-Out

Effective April 11, 2025, new TCPA rules make it easier for you to revoke consent. You may opt-out through any of these methods:

  • SMS Reply: Reply STOP, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or END
  • Online: Submit request via our contact page
  • Phone: Call contact number listed below
  • Written Notice: Mail written request to address below
  • Informal Requests: "Leave me alone", "No more texts", or similar language

Processing Time: Opt-out requests will be honoured within 10 business days as required by 2025 TCPA amendments.

Information Collection and Use

  • Information Collected: Mobile phone numbers, consent records, and opt-out requests for business communications only
  • Purpose: Direct operational messaging between Great North Airlines and business contacts regarding flight operations and essential services
  • Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes
  • Data Security: Phone numbers stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls
  • Record Retention: Consent records maintained for minimum 4 years after last communication as required by TCPA
  • Your Rights: Access, correct, or delete your information by contacting us using the methods above
